About Us

Streethouse Junior, Infants & Nursery School

Safeguarding Children

At Streethouse Primary School we take our Safeguarding role both seriously and pro-actively.  Children learn how to make safe choices in terms of health and situations of risk.  For example:  we each children about staying safe from cyber-bullying (E-Safety), staying safe from peer-pressure, illness, stranger danger, road and pedestrian safety, etc

All staff and volunteers receive training in Safeguarding Children, we follow Safer Recruitment guidelines and undertake rigorous vetting procedures including Disclosure & Barring Service checks on all adults in school.

We follow the policies and procedures set out on the Wakefield District Safeguarding Children Board - please follow the link below to look through any of these.
